Fine art: Anima
Anima is the third series from Labyrinth inside the mirror.
I have always admired clowns, these characters that show up on the stage to entertain us afar from their experiences. I asked each portrayed person to show me his or her most hidden or recurring emotion. The one that makes us choose our daily mask. I used the clown as a resource to both build the mask and destroy it in each portrait.
We are blessed when we open up; it is boundless because we manage to leave our ego and show ourselves. In my pictures, and in these series in particular, I seek for a connection between the souls, between my subject and myself.
Anima, the soul, the essence of each being. beyond the light, beyond the make-up. Essence, pure energy; being present among human beings.
